The visitors took the lead with a sweet strike from 25-yards. The Otters response was positive and both Adam Rolls and Lee Mitchell went close before the break, but there were no further goals and half-time saw the hosts trailing 1-0.

The visitors were just as sharp at the start of the second half and doubled their lead five minutes after the re-start. The Otters rang the changes, brought on Ryan Mitchell and Luke Iddon and the switch paid instant dividends as a superb delivery from Simon Trimm was headed home by Dinky Thomas. Thomas swiftly doubled his tally to level things up.

Substitute Mitchell struck from close range to give the Otters the lead for the first time in the contest. Mitchell netted again after rounding the keeper and a polished finish was put on proceedings as Thomas completed his hat-trick in the last minute.

On Saturday the Otters entertain Farway in the Devon Intermediate Cup semi-final. Kick-off is at 2pm.
