Country House 1, Bank United 6
This local derby became a one-sided affair with Exmouth-based Bank emerging convincing winners.
The sides had met just a fortnight before when Country House had bagged the points.
It wads the home side who fashioned the early opportunities. However Bank struck first when, in the 11th Warren Vaughan and Dave Franks combined to provide Wayne Tucker with the chance to make his debut with a goal.
It was soon 2-0 when Tucker provided the assist and Phil Sanders the finish.
Sanders then bagged a second to make it 3-0 with a superb strike from the edge of the area to send Bank into half-time with a commanding lead.
The second half saw more of the same with Bank dominating and the fourth goal arrived when a down-field punt by keeper Graham Lewis fell to Vaughan who controlled it firs and then sent the ball up and over then hoe keeper to make it 4-0.
Tucker then set up Sam Weeks to score the fifth. With 10 minutes to play the Bank defence was caught napping and the home side netted a consolation through Jamie Ballard.
The final goal was struck by Bank with Man of the Match Tucker’s skill easing him past two defenders before he squared the ball to Vaughan to bag his second and complete the scoring.
