Ellie Sutcliffe is a prolific racer and was the sole Exmouth Harrier at two recent events, writes Dave Eveleigh.
She first ran amongst a field of 144 at the Wellington 10mile race.
She was disappointed to run slightly slower than last year’s 67:30 and finished second woman home, but acknowledges that this might have been one event too far in a particularly heavy recent race schedule.
However, by the time she lined up for the Colyton Rebel Run (about 9km multi-terrain) she was clearly feeling a bit sharper, finishing 12th of 126 runners in 40:34 and responding to a defeat by Sidmouth’s Lucy Owen at the recent Beat the Bus race, finished in front of her this time to win the women’s section.
