Sutcliffe and Hatchard fly Harriers flag at Teign Valley Toddle

Two of Exmouth Harriers’ most enthusiastic females runners lined up in a couple of recent meetings, writes Dave Eveleigh.
Ellie Sutcliffe was on duty at Christow for the Teign Valley Toddle.
The race title breaks the rule that alliteration in a race title indicates something tough and off-road. It was hilly, but in fact measured 10.25 miles on tarmac.
Sutcliffe was in imperious form again and finished a magnificent sixth and was also first woman runner home in 68:49.
Lisa Hatchard added to her impressive 2012 off-road portfolio in running the seven-mile Minster Challenge near Axminster.
There was not much tarmac in sight in this race, one that saw Hatchard finish 50th overall in a field of 97 runners.
She was sixth female home, clocking 69:10, not bad for a tough course.
