A respite in the atrocious weather between Christmas and New Year enabled the Woodbury Park weekend competition to take place, writes Carole Pye.

The format was, ‘Three Clubs and a Putter’, which the pro shop at the club organizes each year.

The winner, Matthew Smith came in with 52 points giving him a comfortable margin over second place. Countback was needed to identify Paul Crocock as runner-up on 46, just nudging Richard Jenner into third place.
