Newtown 2, East Budleigh 6
East Budleigh produced a fine first half display at Newtown last Saturday and were probably the better side going into half-time all square at 2-2, writes Mark Auton.
Tim Whiteoak and Jeff Dorman struck for the Jays, but it was the home side that upped the tempo after the re-start.
The hosts gained the initiative five minutes in and following some sloppy Budleigh play increased their cushion with two further strikes.
A late sixth added insult to injury for a Budleigh side that face high flying St Martins at Vicarage Road this Saturday.
