Withycombe Under-11s launched a new season in their smart new Skinner Construction sponsored kit with matches against the All Whites of Newton Abbot.

The visitors are always a powerful opponent and generally win matches in some comfort! It was the All Whites who struck first with an unconverted try.

Withy responded well and the scrums started to work whilst the line-outs produced plenty of ball and a quick-rucking game finally gave Lucas White the room to dart past the defence for the first of the teams five unanswered tries all of which were converted by Oscar Moyle.

The All Whites still kept the pressure on with there big centers making surging runs, but Withy hardly missed a tackle, often turning over the ball!

Ben Bolwell crossed the visiting lines twice whilst full-back Oscar Moyle also scored a try double as Withy ran out deserved 35-5 victors.

Withy clearly have a powerful squad in this age group. There are 22 players champing at the bit, looking to improve week on week and that augers well for a successful season ahead.
