Wastanage, Farrant and Parry provide Withy with winning platform

Withycombe Under-11s entertained Honiton on a very heavy Raleigh Park surface.

The two sides played a brace of shorter games, both of which produced excellent victories for Withy.

The opening game saw Withy make a bright start with forwards Jack Wastanage Jason Farrant and Kyle Parry stamping their authority on proceedings and proving to strong for the visiting pack from the first whistle.

From this solid platform Withy were able to get good possession for Joe Blyth, Oscar Moyle, Jake Yarwood, Finley Frazer and Archie Symons who each ran excellent lines, constantly getting in behind the visiting defence.

There was also many opportunities for Lucas White and Hannah Bolwell to show there pace out wide. Withy won the game 43-7 with the

Try scorers being Jake Wastanage (2), Finley Frazer (2), Kyle Parry, Jason Farrant and Joe Blyth.

The second game saw Withycombe experiment with players in new positions in key roles to gain experience excellent team spirit resulted in another win 31-14 with Lucas White scoring a further three tries whilst Joe Blythe and Jake Yaywood scored one each.

Both matches were played in terrific spirit in testing conditions.
