Withycombe Under-8s launched their season with matches against Newton Abbot.

Curtis Frazer had the honour of scoring the team’s first try of the new campaign.

At half-time Withy led 4-2 and both teams crossed the others line six times after the break.

Frazer finished with two tries as did Joe Gosling whilst single scores came from Jack Graves and Lewis Alford, but the star of the try scoring was Baxter Williams with four.

In the second game Withy were 11-7 winners to make a fine start to the new term.

A great start for the team, and all this with Ebony Mardle still to return!
