The Topsham St James CC Presentation Evening took place at Route 2, Topsham.
There were 46 people at the event which began with an excellent buffet which was then followed by the presentations.
The 1st XI Player of the Season award was won by Ross Treleaven who went home with the prestigious Brewer Cup. He also picked up the Evans Cup for winning the side’s bowling honour.
The other 1st XI awards were presented to Tom Richardson (batsman), Alex Sparkes (single innings of the season) and Adrian Miller (his for the best bowling performance of the campaign - that outstanding eight wicket haul in the final game)
Neil Argyle was acclaimed as the 2nd XI Player of the Year and he also picked up the 2nd XI batting award whilst Brian Jeary won the bowling award.
The Ladies XI awards were handed out to Claire Thomas (batting) and Rosie Short (bowling) and the Sunday XI awards went to Ross Treleaven (who was presented with the James Harding Memorial Trophy by Sheila Harding).
Other club awards handed out were the Clubman of the Year award (The Stanley Roberts Cup) presented to Richard Warren whilst the President’s Award was won by David Gambie.
For achievements during the season, mounted cricket balls were presented to Adrian Miller for his four wickets in four balls in the May 12 game against Uplyme and Lyme Regis, and again to Miller for his 8-43 in the 1st XI final league game at Shaldon on September 1.
Al-Amin Kassam was presented with one for his knock of 141 for the Sunday XI in a South Devon league game against South Devon CC on July 29 and Claire Tomas also went home with one form her unbeaten 140 in the Women’s XI game with Whitchurch on July 22.
