Refourmed crowned Winter League champions at Exmouth Bridge Club

Exmouth Bridge Club staged the final round of their Winter League last week.

Division One was won by Refourmed who beat Luce Cannons 18-2 in their final match.

The Refourmed team is Dick Andrews, Gaynor Wiseman, Chris Hall, Keith Ponsford and Mike Crelley. Division One runners-up are The New Deal comprising of Terry Cannon, Nigel Mack, Alan Swift, Hugh Stedham and Teresa Tea, who defeated Temp 17-3 in their final match.

In the other top division meeting there was a 17-3 victory for Shelagh’s Acolytes over The Vindtraps.

The Division Two top honour was won by The Mob comprising of Bill Oeters, Diana Oeters, Hilary Billing and Sandie Miles and they won their final game 19-1 against Newbies.

Jamber claimed the Division Two runners-up berth despite losing their last game 13-7 to Green Travellers.

James Homer, Barbara Mellor, Maureen Smith and Rosemary Bradshaw make up the Jamber team.

On Saturday, March 15 the club is holding is annual Cream Tea and Duplicate Bridge afternoon to raise money for equipment for the residents of Bystock Court.
