Reed starts 2013 with victory in Exe Estuary Species Hunt event

There was a good turnout of ESAA members recently for the first catch and release shore event of the 2013 calendar, the Exe Estuary Species Hunt.
Anglers fished throughout the estuary from Orcombe Point to Dawlish Warren, but the two best bags came from the Exmouth side of the river.
Woodbury angler Brian ‘the Viking’ Reed started the year the same way he left off in 2012, taking first prize with a mixed bag of flounder and dogfish.
Second place went to Lympstone’s Si Boeree who recorded Flounder and numerous Ballan Wrasse.
Exeter-based member Nigel Chappell took third with a nice flounder from Starcross.
