Newton Poppleford 0, East Budleigh 4
East Budleigh returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory at Newton Poppleford last Saturday thanks to a brace from Jack Howarth and further strikes from the impressive Josh Whiller and substitute Rich Pratt, writes Mark Auton.
Budleigh produced a hard working display and were in control from the start creating chances, but unable to find a finishing touch until Howarth found that missing spark, cutting in from the right to drill the ball home.
It was Howarth again who netted for Budleigh to give them a two goal half-time cushion.
After the re-start Budleigh continued to have the better of it. Man of the Match Dan Reynolds broke up any attack offered by the home side and it was soon 3-0 through Whiller who deserved his goal for his all-round performance.
Budleigh completed the scoring with a fourth through Pratt who came off the bench to score in what was a fine cameo performance.
Budleigh are back at home this Saturday when they entertain Bickleigh and will look to produce a solid display in search of another three points.
