Police Social Club C lose, but stay top of Exmouth Snooker League

Despite losing their two latest fixtures, Police Social Club C keep a single point lead at the top of the Exmouth Snooker League.

John Parrott 87-58 and Trevor Haylock 66-12 had them two ahead of the Number Nine B, before Russell Frame 100(47)-60, Tim Thorn 65-39 and Dave McCarthy 53-41stealed the match to go second with two games in hand.

At the Number Nine A, Dennis Robb 50-25, Tim Parker 51-17, Dion Newcombe 73-51 and Iain Callander 88-38 inflicted an even bigger defeat on the leaders, but, the sole reply from John Parrott 59-41may be crucial in the final reckoning.

Police A are third after recovering from a two frames deficit to Mark Oliver and Rob Marsden of East Budleigh C, as Bob Martin, Carl Rowsell and Mark Rock sealed their 6th, win.

Number Nine A are the third team on 27 points with the two gained by Dion Newcombe 68-64 and an Brown 54-45. But, this was too little, too late, as John Spamer 77-49, Frank Kelsey 52-20 and Phil Rowsell 50-39 recorded the 4th, win for the Police B.

Russell Frame now holds the Highest Break with his 75, made in the Team Knockout. This season, breaks compiled in League and all Competitions will be considered for the High Break award.
