Police C lead, but it’s tight at the top of the Exmouth Snooker League

Police Social Club C hold a single point lead as the Exmouth Snooker League approaches the half-way stage of the season. Trevor Haylock 51-37, John Parrott 57-23, John Evens 50-33 and John Anderson 61-47 recorded their 6th, win at East Budleigh C.

East Budleigh C lost their match at defending champions, Number Nine B, despite Mark Oliver 77-31 and Trevor Hayman 54-44 winning the opening two frames. They were overtaken by Dave McCarthy 48-38, Tim Thorn 69-35 and T.Derges 66-61, who have an outstanding fixture to fulfil.

Police A go third after two 3-2 wins over the Police B. Carl Rowsell 94-74, Mark Rock 93-61, Pete Abrahams 65-53, George Webster 84-75 and Mervyn Long 67-66 were the pick of their winners with John Spamer 80-77, Bob Horton 73-36 and 63-22 and Dave McWilliams 74-58 responding for the B team.

Number Nine A gained their 4th, win to date with John Bissett 82-26, Tim Parker 85-55 and Dion Newcombe 86(32)-62 out-pointing the Police A and Carl Rowsell 68-38 and Andrew Binmore 70-57.
