Exeter Saracens 0, Exmouth 53
Exmouth powered their way to a half century of points in Exeter to comfortably win this Devon Under-15 Plate contest.
Having played just once since December 8 there was little sign of any rustiness as the young Cockles stole the show scoring nine unanswered tries with four conversions off the boot of George Mears.
Mears also scored one of the tries, but it was Connor MacDonald who took the honors with four of them.
Then other try scorers were Jake Williamson, Alec Larsson-Carter, skipper Joe Harris and the pick of the bunch from Keenan Paver who showed pace and determination to out-run several defenders from just inside the Sarries half.
It was a great team performance from an outfit that has trained hard during their weather-enforced wait for a run out.
The Exmouth forwards dominated at scrum time over a large, heavy Sarries pack.
This was the platform that the Exmouth backs needed to strike at every opportunity.
Exeter Saracens did play their part in an entertaining game and did come close on a couple of occasions.
The Exmouth defence stepped up for a richly deserved shut out.
A half century points victory was no more than the Cockles deserved with all the Exmouth players working together as a tight team.
