The recent cold spell does not seem to have affected the enthusiasm of Exmouth Harriers members for getting out there and running, writes Dave Eveleigh.

A small team of Harriers travelled to the fringes of Dartmoor for the Bovey Tracey race in the Westward Cross Country League Series.

Just over 100 men finished. Jamie Palmer was the first in an Exmouth vest to finish, clocking 38:14 for 28th place and second man over 40.

Lee Russell was 96th in 53:15 and John Perratt, in his Sidmouth vest, was 99th in 56:59.
