Exmouth have announced that Ross Morshead will continue for his third year as captain of the 1st XV.
Having led the Cockles into National Two Morshead has been given the nod to see the side into the new unchartered waters that they will move in when the season begins early next month.
Back Rower Morshead will be ably supported by winger Jack Downie, and newly appointed joint vice captain Stuart Lowe, who himself is a former captain.
Director of rugby Chris Wright comments: “Ross is a hugely valued member of the squad and is well respected by all at the club for his contribution on and off the pitch in what has been a very successful period since his arrival three years ago. It goes someway towards showing the impact he has made by the fact that he became captain just one year after joining the club. The captaincy at Exmouth is usually given to someone from ‘deep’ within the club who has come up through the mini juniors. He of course, will be ably supported by two people who have done just that, in Jack and Stuart, and this gives us a lot of continuity as we go into our debut season in National Two.”
