Otterton 6, Colaton Raleigh Res 1

The Otters cruised into the last four of the Geary Cup with a superb all-round show to comfortably win this East Devon derby game.

The first third of the match was very even, but then Ryan Mitchell broke the deadlock and his brother lee quickly doubled the home advantage for Otterton to lead 2-0 at the break.

In the second half the home lead was further increased when Ryan Mitchell netted his second and then a mazy run from Charlie Copleston was ended with a fourth goal as he curled the ball beyond then keeper.

Four became five when Mark Dobrijevic netted and it was six when substitute Aidan McLean tucked the ball away after some excellent approach play by the industrious Jonny Dack.

Battling Colaton Raleigh never let their heads drop and their efforts were rewarded with a late consolation.

This Saturday Otterton return to league action when they host Cheriton Fitzpaine.
