Three Exmouth Harriers travelled to South Devon to compete in the Churston Flyer, a five-mile race in South Devon where there were 150 starters, writes Dave Eveleigh.

Adam Miller was fifth in 28:14.

Cathy Newman was 23rd overall in 31:12 and was also second woman, first woman over 50 and also the first runner over 50 overall.

This is perhaps another example backing the idea doing away with male categories altogether in favour of open awards!

Just outside the top half of the field was Carly Audritt, 89th in 37:56.
