Young judo stars from John Goldman’s Exmouth Judo Centre, based at Exmouth Sports Centre gathered together for the clubs eagerly awaited annual awards evening.
Exmouth Mayor, Councillor John Humphries was on hand to make presentations to the youngsters with awards ranging from Etiquette to Pupil of the Year.
Councillor Humphries told the pupils they were a credit to themselves, their families and to the town. He thanked John and his daughter Ruth Goldman for the work they continued to do in the community.
In terms of the awards, the honour of Pupil of the Year went to Maia and Joanes Garmendia. The award for Effort went to Jake Moses whilst the category of Etiquette was won by Scott Clarke.
Louey Beaney won the Perseverance award and Cameron Deakin was landed the Spirit award and Kiah Waller picked up the Competitor award.
Eugene Markworth won the Most Improved and the Pupil of the Year award went to Will Mills.
