Madeira has seen another busy past week of indoor bowling.

In the national Over-60s pairs Sandy Cox and Jean Rainton won 21-12 at Exonia against Joy Penberthy and Janet Sherwood.

In the Lane trophy match against North Devon Madeira were able to claim an overall victory.

In the home leg Jose Glaister, Freda Relph, Nikki Fiddimore and Shirley Smith were 26-9 victors whilst the quartet of Janet Allen, Fay Hughes, Dee Williams and Thelma Wildon were even more empahtic winners to a 31-4 score line.

In the away leg Norma Cureton, Jan Worsfold, Lin Halpin and May Dyson landed a three shot win won whilst Jenny Turner, Millie Powell, Ann Doidge and Jean Healey were edged out by six shots.

In the Yetton Trophy Madeira played Torquay Utd and won overall and go forward to play Exonia in the next round

The National fours saw a match between Janet Allen, Pat Cain, Sandy Cox and Jean Rainton taking on Jan Roberts, Christine Macauly, Liz Smerdon and Catherine King with the latter four triumphant to the tune of a 25-17 score line.
