There’s been more success for the Madeira lady bowlers in the past week.

In the county pairs section final Jan Roberts and Catherine King won 22-13

against Liz Smerdon and Sue Harriott.

Roberts and King then teamed up with Christine Macaulay and Liz Smerdon to secure a 23-9 success against Pearl Hackwood’s Honiton quartet.

Both teams now head for a March meeting at South Hams with Plymouth for a place in their respective finals.

The Madeira club competitions are now well underway.

In the Deves Pairs Jim Bradford and Sue Harriott were victorious against the duo of Richard Prince and Diedre Norman whilst Jan Roberts defeated Robert Berry in the Bob Burch Singles and Liz Smerdon was successful in the same competition at the expense of Gordon Medlock.

Last but not least in another busy Madeira week, Robert Berry won 21-19 against Catherine King in the Bob Caddy 2-wood singles.
