It’s been a busy time recently at Madeira

First up it’s hearty congratulations to Christine Macaulay and Liz Smerdon who received their Atherley strips from DCLIBA.

In the ladies championship, Jan Roberts, Sue Harriott, Jean Rainton, Janine Orchard and Catherine King won through to the next round.

In the County triples, Jan Roberts, Janine Orchard and Catherine King won 19-12 against May Dyson, Veda Bevan and Sandy Cox.

Madeira played Sidmouth in the Foxlands and won three out of the four rinks played which was sufficient to see Madeira bank eight points for their efforts.

In the County fours Jan Roberts, Christine Macaulay, Liz Smerdon and Catherine King won 18-11 against Julie Grant, Joan Heard, Shirley Hiscocks and Carole Binmore from Honiton.

Last, but certainly not least it’s good luck from all at Madeira to a number of our players.

First up to Christine Macaulay and Angela Denner in their forth coming national pairs section final.

It’s also good luck to the Madeira Men’s Over-60s double rink as they travel to Poole to play West Berkshire in the last eight of this national competition.
