Sue Harriott followed up her appearance in the county final of the mixed pairs by also contesting the final of the county ladies’ pairs, played at Topsham in midweek, writes Jude Latta.

Her partner was Liz Smerdon and they were against Linda and Hayley James (a mother and daughter combination) representing Bideford.

Sue and Liz began extremely well and just didn’t put a wood wrong. They won handsomely by 20-11 at the 20th end.

Congratulations, Sue and Liz, for being the 2017 County ladies’ pairs champions.
