Andy Lowe slammed a hat-trick as Lympstone made a flying start to a new Fresha League season with a 7-0 defeat of Crediton United Reserves.
With the Lympets home pitch being used by the ever-growing youth section at the club the seniors have moved to the superb surface that graces Endurance Park, at the Royal Marine CTC.
The wider expanse of the military pitch certainly suited the Lympets and they were quickly into their stride.
It was last season’s leading scorer Lowe who got this season’s opener following excellent approach play from Mark Dunne and Lowe doubled his tally before the break.
A strong wind was aiding the Lympstone cause throughput the second half and they were all over the visitors for the duration!
Skipper Ben Canning slammed home a 45-yard free-kick to make it 3-0.
The fourth was a long-range strike from Mark Dunne and the nap hand came up courtesy of a superb left wing raid by Anton Hyde that ended with Chris hooker netting.
Lowe completed his hat-trick from another Hyde raid to make it six and the final goal was a Canning header.
