Kilburn-Thomson at the double as Exe IV win well against Dart III

09:28 13 February 2014

Dart III 1, Exe IV 3

Exe were good value for the victory in a game that saw all four goals scored in the second half.

Dart played well throughout the first half, halting the great runs from Evie Jones and Anya Kilburn-Thomson into the D.

The Exe defence stood firm and such was their collective discipline that goalkeeper Sally Turner had a quiet day in goal.

The deadlock was broken when Kilburn-Thomson rifled the ball home from a short corner. Soon after it was Killburn-Thomson who struck again to make it 2-0.

With a comfortable lead the Exe attacking line began to play with real composure and when Daisy Bowmer played a precise pass it found Helen Warren who tucked away the third goal.

Dart had the final word, scoring a well deserved goal with the last hit of the game.
