Inter-club matches are always keenly contested with pride and bragging rights at stake and this one was no exception to that rule.

An enthralling contest was settled by one goal, scored in the 43rd minute by Ali Kerridge.

The second XI came mighty close to causing an upset as they moved the ball about crisply.

Having ridden the initial storm the senior side began to grow into the game, but it was even-steven throughout and half-time arrived with the game goal less.

The only goal of the match arrived in the 43rd minute when Kerridge struck from a penalty corner.

The seconds came back strongly, but try as they did, the equaliser was not forthcoming and they were forced to concede defeat in a game where they certainly gave as good as they got from first whistle to last!
