Scott Jordan, Terry Oldham and Lorraine Gilson were in North Somerset for the Exmoor Stagger and Exmoor Stumble, writes Dave Eveleigh.
Both events are contested over very hilly, testing routes on Exmoor.
The Stagger covering about 16 miles, to the Moor’s high point of Dunkery beacon and returning to Minehead whilst the Stumble covering about six miles, but still off-road.
This year mist added an extra challenge for the athletes.
In the longer race Jordan was 72nd out of a field of 200 and 13th man in the Over-40 class in a time of 2:44:00. Oldham finished in 3:04:01 for 123rd place and 10th man Over-55.
In the shorter Stumble Gilson was timed at 68:43 and was third in her women Over-50 section, finishing 41st overall in a field of one hundred plus.
