Jill Miller continued her current good run of form to win the July medal competition at East Devon Golf Club last week, writes Helen Chivers.

Miller claimed the narrowest of victories in a fiercely fought competition between 77 ladies as she recorded a four under par round of nett 70.

This saw Jill take top spot in Silver Division on countback from Sally Underwood and Lea Finding. Leslie Dawson was in the prizes again with a two under par nett 72, with Hilary Shiels tow shots further back in fifth on level par nett 74.

Julie Sampson took first place in an equally close Bronze division. Her two under par nett 72 was the best on countback from Elaine Whitehead, Margaret Webb and in form Elaine Curel.

Anne Sobczak narrowly took fifth place on a better back nine ahead of Linda Holdway and Sue Owen-Pawson as they all returned one over par rounds of nett 75.
