Tuesday, being Valentines Day, the ladies’ roll-up theme was hearts and roses, writes Carol Pye.
With an excellent turnout on both the Oaks and the Acorns, the ladies played a Joker Stableford over nine holes.
Jacky Jacobs carded a very impressive score of 27 points to win the Oaks with Marleen Johnson, who scored 24, in second place.
The Acorns winner Christine Haveron returned a score of 24 points with Ann Spiller second four points behind.
The weekend competition was a Three Ball Team Stableford.
Playing golf at this time of year is not for the faint hearted!
However, 72 players turned out to take part in the competition. The winners, with 99 points, were Terry Harris, Andy Neilson and Kelly Hughes.
Second were Neil Rice, Paul Heys and Gordon Jackson with 97. Coming in with 94 points, to take third place, were Andrew Hirst, Gary Bourne and Chaz Turner.
