It’s that time of year again, time to pack away the wets and put the outdoor woods to bed for the winter, writes Catherine King.

Sunday saw the indoor opening day drive with packed rinks throughout the day.

Madeira played host to a mixed team from Ottery St Mary and, although Madeira won convincingly on all rinks, the Ottery visitors thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Tuesday saw lady captain Angel Denner hosting the captains invitation, six rinks of ladies’ played throughout the afternoon

Madeira ladies travelled to Dawlish for a friendly game and won 58 - 37 shots.

Finally this week, a mixed team played at Padbrook Park and I can report that John Hopkins Jill Perrin George Perrin and Bob Finch scored a Hotshot in their 32-14 shots win.
