Hawes runs superbly in Devon 10,000m championshops

A pair of Exmouth Harriers were on the track at Exeter arena where they completed 25 laps in the Devon 10,000metres Championships, writes Dave Eveleigh.
Running in the ‘B’ (over 40 minutes) race were Richard Hawes and Andy Johnson. Hawes had a great run.
He knocked over a minute from a Personal Best only a month old.
He was fourth in the B race and fourth man Over-45, only missing the County Bronze medal by 10 seconds!
In the middle of the same field Johnson lead home a group of four athletes who all finished within two seconds of each other and was timed at 43:07.
It should be noted that there was a sapping head wind in the back straight.
