Harriers’ Kearns runs well at Bideford Half Marathon

21:25 05 March 2014

With Shrove Tuesday just 48 hours away it must have seemed appropriate that four runners from Exmouth Harriers were in Bideford for a Half Marathon which could be described as ‘pancake flat’, writes Dave Eveleigh.

Nearly 1,000 completed this year’s race. Adrian Kearns was 125th and 23rd of 101 Men Age 40-44 in 90:17, about three minutes shy of the Personal Best he ran here last year.

Andrew Johnson was 200th and 15th of 63 Men Age 50-54, his time, 95:16. Roger Riggs was 743rd in 2:07:18, though confusingly there is a finisher of the same name, but under the Exeter Harriers banner, in 668th position in 2:02:43 - that remains to be clarified.

Finally, first of three Over 75 Men was Mick Allen who was 719th overall and was clocked at 2:06:15.
