On the south coast of the county four more Harriers were tackling the Dawlish coasters Oh My Obelisk! race over 10 miles from Dawlish Leisure Centre to the Obelisk monument in Haldon Forest and back, mostly run on green lanes, forest tracks and country lanes, writes Dave Eveleigh.

The organisers say it can be hilly and muddy, but it is probably only fair to point out that there is not actually much choice about the former!

Ellie Sutcliffe was first Harrier home, 22nd overall and first female in 86:20.

Next in was Nicholas Brown, 81st overall in 1:40:40 with Lisa Hatchard just over a minute slower, 86th overall and 10th female. Alison Milborrow was 150th overall and comfortably inside two hours in 1:57:53.

Over 200 finished with a large female field of nearly 80.
