Exmouth Harriers Lisa Hatchard had her first crack at a Fell Race recently, writes Dave Eveleigh.

These races are categorised from A (steepest) to C, and S (under six miles), M (six to 12 miles) or L (twelve plus miles).

Hatchard was near Okehampton for the Stourton Tor Fell Race an AS event that is short, but steep!

She was timed at 30:34, finishing 14th in a small, but exclusive field, and the Okehampton running club website reports her “crossing the line with a giant grin across her face.”
