Anglers descended on West Bay in Dorset recently to fish the latest Exmouth Sea Angling Association match, the annual RNLI Charity Shield, writes Simon Boeree.
Fair conditions greeted competitors, but catches were slim for most throughout with only a handful recording fish.
Come the end, Brian ‘the Viking Reed’ had done it again recording 216 per cent to take the shield.
Second was Broadclyst angler Dave Fuller while Exeter angler Babs Hale-Westcott came in a close third.
Again this year, all proceeded will be donated to the local RNLI, including a good figure raised from the event’s raffle run by Babs.
