Withycombe Under-10s versus Cullompton

Withycombe Under-10s were engaged in a coupe of close contests with visiting Cullompton at a muddy Raleigh

First up Withy Black took to the pitch against a forceful and sizable visiting opposition who dominated the first half and led 4-1 at the break.

Withy battled well in the second half and doubled their tally whilst restricting the Mid Devon team to just two more tries.

Will Cornish scored both Withy tries and also landed his teams Man of the Match award.

The second game saw Withy Green take on the visitors and this was a more balanced affair which Cullompton led by a single score at the half way stage.

After the break upped their game, enjoying greater possession through determined tackling and rucking.

The final whistle blew with both sides on 20 points, a fair representation of a close match.

Sam Diprose (2), Joe Graham and Max Richards bagged the Withy tries whilst Graham also landed the Man of the Match award.
