The Lions Club of Budleigh Salterton held a very successful golf day at the East Devon Golf Club.

It was the tenth annual Charity Golf Day that saw funds being raised in support of the Exeter Leukaemia Fund.

The special guest for the day was Steve Rider, a patron of the ELF.

There were 124 players who took part in the event.

Amongst many lots in the sports auction that was held at the evening dinner was the prize one, a Manchester United shirt signed by Ryan Giggs.

A magnificent sum of £4339 was raised on and around the day and the money is still being counted!

The Lions Club would like to thank all of the competitors, sponsors, prize benefactors, East Devon Golf Club staff and Golf Tee Times services.

Next years golf day will be held on August 22 at East Devon Golf Club when funds will be raised for prostate cancer.
