Both teams started brightly and it was not long before the first score arrived when Finn Musgrove got away to put the young Cockles into the lead.

Great support play from Benji Horn, Joseph Rose and Max DiVencezo ended with Liam Daniels pushing through the Withy defence for try number two.

Ieuan Brockway was next to score and the Cockles went into the break with a 15-0 lead.

Withy started the second half well and struck first with a Will Cooper try.

The three try margin was restored however when some outstanding tackling from Will White and Ben Lucas set up another try for Liam Daniels.

Withy were next to score to make it 20-10 when Jaydon Gore crossed the Cockles line.

The home response was again good and great combined strength from Daniel Brooks, Charris Smith and Ollie Sturdy led to George Gelling bagging the Cockles fifth and final try to secure a 25-10 success.

Both teams contributed much to a superb game that was clearly enjoyed by all who took part, and those watching on the sidelines. George Gelling was named the Cockles Man of the Match.
