Following three weeks of inactivity the Terror Pins travelled over the common to the Aylesbeare Inn for the first of three schedule league visits, their opponents on this occasion being Aylesbeare, the other teams still to be faced at that venue are Aylesbeare Eagles and Rogue Eagles, write SpursTom.

Terror Pins won the first leg by one pin, but then found themselves trailing after each of the next three legs.

A nil pin (a sunshine) by Thomas not helping their cause.

They rallied to take legs five and six for a slender lead, Aylesbeare then took leg seven to make it all square, with everything depending on the final leg.

Who would the pressure get to? As it was, Aylesbeare crumbled to register 51 pins, their lowest score of the evening.

Needing 52 for victory, the Terror Pins not only held their nerve, but produced a 67 pin final leg to triumph by 490 to 474.

Sue Gatter, Sue Gooding, Chris, Merv and Henry all got spares, with Karl, Irene and Thomas in the 50’s.

Mike Pring was the home team leading scorer.
