Woodbury prepare for visit to bottom side Dunkeswell Rovers

Woodbury were without a game last Saturday owing to the weather and now turn their attention to this weekend’s trip to Dunkeswell Rovers.
Having beaten the Dunks 5-1 at home earlier in then season, the Woods will travel in confident mood.
It is highly probable that they will opt to rest 32-year-old Andy Bennett to enable the influential defender extra time to recover and prepare for the following game at Hatherleigh.
This gives opportunities to the exceptional Charlie Page to move back into the central defensive area, or the in-form Will Bennett to move across from left back.
Gary May gives Woodbury yet another option as boss Adam Reid looks to utilise the wider squad.
With important league and cup games to come, Saturday’s game against the basement dwellers may also see Reid rest other players.
The Woods boss is certainly hoping that groin injury victim Scott Clayton is available this weekend, a game that, if the Woods win and Exmouth Town fail to take all three points at Axmouth United, would see Reid’s side return to the top of the Division Five table.
Reid says: “I know we have played more than the others but what is a sure-fire thing is that with the other teams chasing promotion having to play each other points will be dropped along the way. Axmouth still look like one of the teams who can finish in the top three berths. However, Exmouth Town will have to negotiate a large number of games with their continued interest in Cup competitions. It’s a similar story at Newtown. I see that Lords XI have not played since their 5-2 defeat to us back on January 21 and they are another outfit who are likely to endure some form of fixture congestion.”
