Action from the Budleigh Salterton Under-15s versus Lympstone meeting

Budleigh Salterton Under-15s were in superb form as they won 5-0 at Cullompton Rangers in their latest Exeter and District Youth League Division Two outing, writes SpursTom.

The Robins struck as early as the 11th minute with Will White the scorer and the lead was doubled thanks to goal from substitute Jayden Gore, who then provided the assist for White to net his second as the team went into the break with a 3-0 lead.

A change of keepers by the hosts could not stop Budleigh increasing their advantage in a more evenly second period.

Ryan Daffin scored to make it 4-0 and then, with what was virtually the final kick of the contest, Matt Shaw-Smith scored the fifth.

Budleigh team: Ieuan Brockway, Will Cooper, Rory Craib, Ryan Daffin, Jayden Gore, Joe Graham, Benji Horn, Liam O’Brien, Matt Oliver, Jack Ottaway, Tom Real, Matt Shaw-Smith, Joseph Vincent, Will White.

Next up for the Robins is a home game against local rivals Brixington Blues on Thursday (April 26),

Can I please offer humble apologies with regard to last week’s reference in my report of a number of the youngsters representing the club’s Reserves 24 hours before the Okehampton Argyle fixture. Though the Reserves could have done with their services, these boys are 12-18 months too young for adult football!
