Young footballers in Exmouth are being encouraged to don their best fancy dress for a special Halloween soccer road show.

Exeter City FC’s popular soccer road shows are returning for the October half term, with a two-day course taking place at Exmouth Community College on Wednesday, October 31 and Thursday, November 1.

The two-day course is open to boys and girls aged 5 to14 of all abilities, with no experience necessary. The road show runs from 10amuntil 3pm and costs £27 for both days.

To get into the Halloween spirit, a fun fancy dress competition will be held on the first day (October 31) when coaches will choose the player in the best spookily-themed outfit to be presented with a trophy and sweets later in the day.

Exeter City FC’s soccer road shows are organised by the club’s Football in the Community Trust, and has been taking place across Devon and Somerset for more than ten years, keeping young Exeter City FC supporters entertained during the school holidays.

Jamie Vittles, Community Trust Manager for Exeter City’s Football in the Community Trust said: “Our soccer road shows are the perfect place to improve existing football skills and learn some new tips and tricks, and with the two-day courses starting on Halloween we thought it would be fun to encourage children to come in their best fancy dress. For anyone who wants to have fun, keep fit and make some new friends during the holidays I would definitely recommend signing up now to avoid disappointment!”

As well as the two-day road show in Exmouth, there will be a goalkeepers and strikers day and a Futsal day for older players in Exeter, and more one and two-day courses happening in Barnstaple, Crediton, Feniton, Okehampton, Sidmouth, Seaton, Exeter, Honiton and Tiverton.
