Six up for Otterton with county cup action next

11:53 27 February 2014

Otterton 6, Silverton 0

Otterton had the perfect work out before their forthcoming Devon Intermediate Cup area final putting on a dominant display to brush aside the visiting Mid Devon outfit and bank three more Fresha League Division Six points.

The Otters began to create chances in the early exchanges with strike pairing Kev Pitt and Lee Mitchell having half chances in the opening ten minutes.

Pitt put the Otters in front after 16 minutes when he finished off some quality passing play.

Ben Yeomans then shot just wide a couple minutes later before Pitt increased the lead, heading home a pin-point Si Tuley cross eight minutes before the break.

In the second half Lee Mitchell made it three and, with the Silverton back line struggling against the Otters pace and movement three further goals arrived in the final 15 minutes.

Tuley made it four before Pitt completed his hat-trick and an own goal completed the scoring.

Otterton play their biggest home game for years on Saturday when they play Starcross Generals in the Devon Intermediate, East area cup final at home with the match kicking off at 2pm.

The club would be delighted to see as many supporters as possible get along to sheer the side hopefully into the last four of the Devon County competition.

Otterton: Dink Thomas, Nick Tweedie, Luke Iddon, Liam Tweedie, Adam Rolls, Ben Yeomans, Jon Dack, Simon Tuley, Charlie Copleston, Kev Pitt, Lee Mitchell. Subs used; Danny Marish, Simon Trim, Lee Chapman.
