The Jay’s second string were very pleased with this result after playing some superb football in their game at Chagford, writes Mark Auton.

From the word go Budleigh were in control and went ahead in the 10th minute when Adam Jones converted from the penalty spot.

Budleigh kept possession well with keeper Mark Bown’s distribution good.

The hosts began the second period better, but were deflated when they conceded an own goal for Budleigh’s second.

Budleigh’s third and killer goal again came from the spot with Man of the Match Alex Manning neatly finding the bottom corner.

Jimmy Wangdi went close to a fourth as did Polish Greg after fine approach play from Manning and Colin Jeans.

Along with the display of Manning there were also good games from Pete ‘the Pole’ and Wangdi.

This Saturday Budleigh entertain Amory Park Rangers and will look to keep up the good work.
