Ammies extended their unbeaten run to three games after a hard fought engagement in Mid Devon.

On the balance of play Ammies will feel they did enough to warrant all three points.

The hosts were the better of the two sides in the first half, enjoying the majority of the possession as Ammies looked a little disjointed and were struggling to find any rhythm or tempo in their game.

It was a good job for Ammies that the back four of Rowe, Jones, Hillman and Dunn looked in commanding form as Tedburn piled on the pressure, but despite this, keeper Rose only had a couple of routine saves to make.

When Ammies did manage to break forward they created the clearer chances. Hawkins hurried the defender into a error, but hit her shot wide before Wills hit a snap-shot that the keeper saved well and Rowe had a header well saved.

At half time Ammies were encouraged to pick up the pace and tempo in their game and this they achieved as they dominated the second period.

Cordwell had a shot blocked, Wills, now playing through the middle, tested the keeper and Worsley was denied a number of times by the home keeper.

With the Ammies looking solid at the back they pressed forward seeking a winner.

Beck slid a fine ball through to Worsley who clipped it past the keeper, but it landed agonisingly wide with what proved to be the final chance at either end.
