Exmouth Town Under-18s send Torquay United out of Devon Cup

Archant

Exmouth Town Under-18s claimed a terrific Devon County Cup win when they defeated Torquay United Under-18s 3-2 at Southern Road.

Dan Cullen fired Town into a first half lead, but Torquay United hit back and the sides went into the break at 1-1.

Whatever was said during the break clearly hit the mark for Town began the second half with greater intensity to their play and they raced into a 3-1 lead thanks to goals from Josh Gresham and Tom Bray. Torquay did get a goal back, netting in the 80th minute, to set up an exciting finish. However, the Town defence then dealt with everything that was sent their way to see the game out and bag Town a place in the next round of the competition.
