Archant

After their game at Sticker was postponed due to a water-logged pitch, Exmouth Town’s next game is their traditional Boxing Day fixture at Cullompton Rangers on Tuesday with kick-off in Mid Devon being 11am.

Rangers had extensive work carried out to their pitch in the summer to improve the drainage at a cost of £40,000, but both their last two home games have been cancelled!

Indeed, they have not played at home in the league since November 4, and have not won a league match since they beat Newquay away on October 28.

The sides have already met twice this season in cup matches and Cully have come out on top both times winning 2-1 after extra-time in the League Cup and, more recently, 2-0 in the St Lukes Bowl.

On both occasions there was little between the sides, but Town will need to produce more in their attacking options especially as leading goal scorer Ace High and Brandon Green, scorer of Town’s last two goals, are suspended.

After the Cully game, Town have a very attractive home game on Saturday December 30, when Tavistock are the visitors.

The current league champions have lost just once in 16 starts in the league this season and already have six wins on the road, scoring 32 goals and conceding just one, that in a single goal defeat at Stoke Gabriel. When the sides met in September at Tavistock, Town, lost 4-0.
