Archant

Exmouth Town bring the year of 2017 to an end with an attractive home game at Southern Road that will see them entertain high-flying Tavistock on Saturday (December 30).

Only title favourites Plymouth Parkway have lost fewer games that Tavistock who have been beaten just twice this season – the second of those losses coming as recently as Boxing Day with a 6-2 mauling at Parkway, and the other loss came in their previous away game – a December 2, 1-0 loss at Stoke Gabriel.

It all means that the Lambs will pitch up at Southern Road looking to avoid a third successive away defeat!

The game on Saturday will be Town’s first for three weeks – they last played on December 9 when they drew 1-1 at home with Callington Town. Town travelled to Tavistock back on September 30 when they were beaten 4-0, but since then Andy Rawlings and Kevin Miller have taken charge and Town have been beaten just once since an October 21, 3-2 reversal at Newquay. They have won four, drawn two and lost just the one – a 5-1 defeat at Helston on November 18 and so can go into the meeting with Tavistock with plenty of confidence.

Kick-off at Southern Road on Saturday is 3pm.
